C++ tutorials: 2 – Setting up the environment

In this first episode, we’ll see how to setup an environment to compile c/c++ programs.

You can find a lot of software on the web but, personally, I like open source, in fact I use an open source program called CodeLite.

It is a light and fast IDE (integrated development environment), with all the functionalities you’ll need to build awesome C programs.

It is cross platform, you can find on its website, both Windows and Linux versions.

After you download the executable, it will automatically check if you have a compiler on your machine, if not it will redirect you to its download page.

The installation it’s quite easy and automized, after that you should have a screen like this.

See you next time, for our first coding tutorial!
